Russia says it hopes to start talks with US and NATO in January

Donfried will not go into details of the options being discussed, but said there were no sanctions options that were not being considered.
He blamed the current tensions in Europe on the expansion of NATO after the fall of the Soviet Union and said Russia was forced to respond.
Donfried also confirmed January as the schedule for the upcoming talks.
